Collaborate to create and maintain a self-service research toolkit for product teams
Your overall focus will be to enable your colleagues in the product teams to conduct qualitative customer research on their own. Additionally, you support to ensure that relevant data and insights related to customers and products are systematically gathered and shared. You will do so by contributing to the creation of a whole new setup comprising the right tools, processes, guidelines and training.
In short, you will be scaling our product research capabilities – in close collaboration with other Milestone Research Specialists from Product Ops, Product Design/UX, and Marketing. The goal is to enable product team members to efficiently access and utilize self-service research resources, templates, and frameworks so they are equipped to carry out continuous discovery and experimentation themselves. A combination of identifying needs, intensive dialogue, training and persistency are key to succeeding in this.
Your primary tasks will be to:
• Build knowledge of the Milestone product portfolio, our market and customer segments
• Help mapping the current research competency level to understand what is needed
• Help create new best practices and tools like templates with additional guidelines for correct usage
• Plan and conduct training of Product Managers and Developers with little or no research experience
• Help to mature Milestone’s research participant recruitment channels and assist with participant recruitment
• Play a key role in the development and ongoing maintenance of our shared repository of data and insights
Solid experience from conducting customer focused qualitative research
You will need to be equally pragmatic and adaptable as you will join a team charged with changing the overall setup and product & customer research approach in an international organization. You thrive on working in a complex organizational setting with multiple teams, product portfolios and targets. Priorities will be changing and setbacks will occur. Nevertheless, you bring optimism, persistency and proactivity, especially in terms of reaching out. On top of this, you bring good collaboration and communication skills to bridge professional and cultural differences. Additionally, your resume comprises:
• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree from a study with a qualitative research approach
• Solid experience from conducting customer focused qualitative research
• Experience in ethnographic data analysis and contextual inquiry
• Experience as facilitator, coach and trainer of non-research colleagues
• Knowledge of lean startup and continuous discovery methodologies and frameworks
