YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a Data Engineer who relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex technical contexts and is passionate about data modelling and ETL design. You will be working in a fast paced, global team and should be able operate independently and take ownership of multiple projects.
Process datasets of different engineering files and formats, identifying their patterns
Work with relational databases including retrieving, manipulating, creating, updating, and deleting data and database objects
Bring together data from many disparate data sources to a unified source of truth
Knowledge and expertise of data modelling techniques and best practices
Perform deep data analysis on multiple database platforms
Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance and innovate solutions and improve process efficiency
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in order to collect and document technical requirements
Manage competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering)
Minimum 3 years of related experience in data engineering, designing and maintaining complex data sources and data pipelines
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Python
Proficiency working with REST APIs
Expertise in all aspects of ETL technologies including orchestration
Working knowledge of MongoDB or similar NoSQL database
Proficiency with data quality assurance: data validation, anomaly detection. Previous experience with testing frameworks such as dbt or Great Expectations would be advantageous
Strong experience with relational database technologies (PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS)
Strong interest for cloud-based data engineering. Hands-on experience with at least one, and exposure to a variety of leading cloud data technologies like such as Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Big Query, Redshift
Prior experience with orchestration tool sets (e.g Airflow) is advantageous
Deploying within a cloud native infrastructure would be advantageous
Experience with large scale data processing, data structure optimization and scalability of algorithms is a plus
Agile-mindset and solution driven way of thinking
Ability to operate independently and take ownership of various projects within minimal supervision

Fluent in written and spoken English
