We are seeking a young and motivated Junior Front end Developer to join our growing team based in Chiasso, Switzerland.

As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will help the Team in developing our web applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and a seamless user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn from our senior developers, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of web applications, ensuring high-quality and performance standards;
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into responsive and user-friendly interfaces;
  • Liaising with senior developers, taking effectively part of a collaborative and innovative team environment;
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in frontend development, best practices and technologies;
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability;
  • Collaborate with backend developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
  • Gradually troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely and effective solutions;
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.

Skills & Experience:

  • BSc, MSc or comparable on-the-job training in computer science in information technology;
  • Brief experience on field in similar roles could be relevant;
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (preferably Vue.js);
  • Basic knowledge of build tools such as Webpack or Vite and modern styling libraries such as Tailwind CSS or SCSS;
  • Academic understanding and interest in user experience (UX) principles to translate design wireframes into code;
  • Academic understanding of RESTful APIs and integration of backend services;
  • Brief experience with version control systems (Git) and package managers;
  • Strong willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies and development methodologies;
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in English is required.
