Your tasks
As a change and release manager, you are responsible for implementing software and infrastructure changes. You coordinate release and maintenance windows and plan and coordinate changes. You work in close cooperation with test management as well as those responsible for application and infrastructure.
- Decision on changes to be made to productive IT systems. Advance planning of software and infrastructure releases
- Setting up deployment plans for upcoming releases and coordinating with
stakeholders for roll-outs. Monitoring timely and complete software and infrastructure deployment in test and production environments - Preparing operational decisions based on test results and risk considerations
- Obtaining approval for use and issuing release orders for
productive software installation via automated processes including the times of use
As a test manager, you are responsible for planning and coordinating quality assurance measures for software and infrastructure changes and sometimes carry out tests yourself (technical and functional acceptance tests, usability and accessibility tests). You focus on high-risk changes within a release and initiate measures to reduce the risks. In the management areas, you will optimize existing processes based on technical and organizational analyses.
You will be involved in the further development of tools in requirements, change, release, test and deviation management.
- Analysis of the effects of application and infrastructure changes on
the existing infrastructure and the applications operated with it as a
basis for determining test priorities - Determining test strategies and designing tests
- Error and incident management as part of testing
- Coordination and support of test groups
- Documentation and reporting of test results
The management areas require a high level of communication, cooperation and coordination skills.
Your profile
- At least 4 years of verifiable professional experience in the IT environment in accordance with the above-mentioned subject areas or completed vocational training in the IT sector or completed comparable IT training or further education or comparable professional qualifications with at least initial IT professional experience or completed higher education ( Bachelor, Diploma FH) in the IT sector
- Initial knowledge and practical experience of IT infrastructures (for example in the Microsoft, Linux or Oracle environment), ITIL and/or in dealing with the tools TOSCA, Git, Jira or Confluence are an advantage
- German language skills at least at level B2, both spoken and written, are required
- The ability to document work as it is being implemented so that everyone can take over immediately is desirable
