UI Designer/Developer

Knowsis – Posted by markunsworth London, England, United Kingdom

Job Description

About Knowsis

Knowsis develops technology to collect data about stocks, indices and other tradable assets from a huge array of online sources. We then use Machine Learning techniques, Natural Language Processing and statistical analysis to measure sentiment to help predict financial market movements.

The explosion of online conversation over recent years has presented us with a valuable and rich information source, and one that will continue to grow in importance as it supersedes conventional channels of communication. The implications around the speed, reach and influence of tweets, blog postings and forum messages, for example, is such that investors need to take notice.

Our technology will help make sense of it all. It will aid investment decisions, by giving investors more colour when looking to buy, sell, or monitor an existing portfolio. The team at Knowsis firmly believes that, in the future, sentiment indicators from online conversation will be as commonly used as fundamental and technical analysis is today.
