Job Description

Our goal is to improve the online buying experience for our consumers and merchants all over the world and change the way consumers buy online.

We are building a new engineering site in Berlin and this is a one time opportunity to be one of the first engineers on our new site.

As part of that, we’re looking for someone who can help us establish good engineering practices and build the foundation and culture at a new site.

Imagine building something which will be used across all services at Klarna, owning everything from the research, design, development to deployment and integration, well that’s exactly what we’re doing here in our Experimentation Platform team.
We’re building the capabilities for development teams to run multivariate experiments across our product offering, touching all aspects of the user journey and all aspects of the Klarna technology stack.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work together with your team in making the right technology decisions and assessing trade-offs, as well as acting as a technical ambassador for the experimentation platform throughout Klarna.

The current tech stack uses Java, NodeJS and React.

You have a deep interest and passion for Data Science and would like to enable Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to make data driven decisions in a fast paced environment
You have ideally build some experimentation capabilities for consumer services across a diverse technology stack in the past
Large-scale services is something that excites you and you know how to build and run services with stellar uptime
Value craftsmanship – create high-quality code with good design concepts that are easy to maintain
You are used to working with the entire lifecycle of a service, from writing application code and tests to deploying it to production and supporting it
Passion – we look for people who love what they do!
Working as a team is in your DNA; we respect and support each other, and we practise agile methodologies including pair and mob programming
Are a quick learner – we use the latest web technologies, we expect you to be able to catch up quickly.
