Putting Your Expertise to Work 

As the Senior Data Science specialist, you will provide cutting edge framework, ownership and support for optimization and modelling across our marketing organization. You will be working on predictive and recommendation models globally, including North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

You will join a core team of Data Scientists, working alongside Marketers, Analysts, Data Engineers and Product Owners to forge new paths and revolutionize how data is utilized to deliver value.  You’ll seek ways to improve, communicate openly, and be an active problem-solver. Throughout the design, development, and delivery stages you will surprise yourself with new levels of professional and personal growth.

Essential Functions 

  • Engage with stakeholders to consult around analytical project requirements, discuss methodologies and negotiate deliverables.
  • Analyse pre-existing models and algorithms; provide suggestions on how to improve the efficiency and effectiveness, to drive value to the organization
  • Deliver on Data Science projects that may include Price Optimisation; Customer Propensity Modelling (churn, acquisition, cross sell); Marketing Campaign Analytics; Hypothesis Testing; Customer Lifetime Value; Image Recognition; Transfer Learning.  The list goes on.

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s or MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research or similar field
  • Proficient programming skills in Python and R
  • You have 3+ years of practical experiences with data analysis and modelling
  • Advanced machine learning and modeling experience, preferably within an e-commerce environment
  • Experience in deploying predictive models to production
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • High English level
  • Stakeholder management; ability to independently communicate complex information to a wide audience.

Considered as a plus: 

  • Spark, Java, Scala
  • S3, Azure, Databricks
  • Bayesian Statistics
  • Experience using standard libraries (scikit-learn, MLlib, TensorFlow, MXNet, PyMC3)
  • Agile working methodology
