About your new role
Take an active role in shaping our data tech stack and keeping it up to date with modern resilient and scalable technologies.
Set up and research the best way to utilize modern databases, streams/stream processing, tracking, data pipeline and ETL tools.
Operation of servers and services to support the data value chain. Both in the cloud and on-premise.
Develop our cloud environment and work actively with strategies for costs, security and access management.
Managing capacity planning, backup, monitoring and alerting for our tech stack.
Skills & Requirements
At least 3+ years of work experiences as data engineer or similar.
Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop or Flink and NoSQL technologies.
Experience with AWS, in particular Redshift, EMR, S3, Kinesis and Firehose.
Experience with automatic configuration management like Puppet and Terraform.
Experience with Docker and schedulers like Kubernetes, Swarm, Rancher or similar.
Proficient with linux and commonly associated shells and commands.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go or Scala.
Good knowledge of SQL/RDBMS.
Experience with pipeline management tools (Airflow, Luigi).
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written; German is nice to have.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Team player and collaborative.
