All Talpa Network media assets in The Netherlands and globally (TV, Radio, Social, Digital, e-Commerce) are running on our Talpa Technology Platform, a standardized technology backbone. Furthermore, our Smart Data Platform makes sure that all Big Data is collected, processed and used in a uniform way across all our consumer touch points.

The Talpa Technology team consists of highly-experienced technology architects, engineers and project managers who are key specialists in the field of High-Load High-Performance Digital Platforms, Broadcast Architectures, AdTech & MarTech, Big Data and AI/Machine Learning. Working in close collaboration with the other technical VPs and managers for the implementation of the platform with a relentless focus on fixed-date delivery and continuous innovation.

To reinforce the Talpa Technology team at our Innovation Hub in the centre of Amsterdam we are currently recruiting a Security Operations Engineer (SOE).

As our SOE you will report into the VP Platform Technology & Architecture of Talpa Network

Key responsibilities :

  • A SOE is a specialized engineer providing expert opinions and guidance for all things related to the secure design, development, and operation of solutions created by Talpa teams, including how these security measures support the demands of regulations imposed on solutions in certain jurisdictions.
  • The SOE creates and drives the security requirements for design, architecture, development, testing and system administration by establishing best practices for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and driving adherence to those best practices through the employment of tools, systems, services, and processes.
  • Finally, the SOE conducts continuous training, certification, workshops, and risk analysis to ensure all invested parties stay up-to-date with the ever-changing landscape of security and compliance.
  • Research into market requirements, client needs, and regulatory bodies and defines the appropriate security controls and measures needed to support these interests.


  • BS or MS in computer science / software engineering;
  • 3-5 years of experience in Security and Cloud Computing
  • Knowledge on: - Securityprocesses, -technologies and architectures, - Application security, security coding, - Encryption, - Netwerk security, - Data loss prevention.
  • Vulnerability management; Affinitity with/ experience in online media;
  • Strong technical skills;
  • It is considered plus if you have one the following certificates: CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP);
  • Solid knowledge of modern cloud computing technologies (AWS must have) and development methodologies/tools;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Problem solving, forward thinking individual with an entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
  • Hands-on mentality and a pro-active attitude;
  • Being able to work autonomously with a high level of responsibility;
  • Knowledge of the Dutch language (or willingness to learn) is preferred.
