Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assure the Finance Department meets is obligations to all internal and external stakeholders.  This will be achieved through the provision of timely and accurate management accounts and departmental reporting as well as the provision of external reports in the form of statutory accounts and filings and regular reports to funders such as banks, investors and INI for example.   All these deliveries to be made against a backdrop of ensuring compliance with all internal SOPs and external legislation, regulation and best-practice against which we are measured.

Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA or similar and minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Evidenced capability in computerised accounts packages e.g. Sage.
  • Strong technical accounting skills (with current IFRS knowledge desirable), multi-currency experience, consolidated accounts and taxation.
  • Ability to confidently engage with internal stakeholders  (Executive Committee, Management Team) and external stakeholders (Government agencies, HMRC, auditors, funding providers etc.)
