Precision Sports Technologies Ltd is a UK based Sports-Science Technology company, specializing in the development of elite sports training & medical systems which aid in the monitoring, rehabilitation and enhancement of performance for individual athletes and sports teams.
The goal of Precision Sports Technologies is twofold; To develop innovative and “advanced-affordable” systems that allows for the mining and analysis of large “sports-specific” data sets to enhance performance, and to open the world of sports technology to the wider sporting world.
At Precision Sports Technology, we place our emphasis on 3 main areas of sports science:
1. Performance Enhancement: Improving sporting performance with the use of technology.
2. Coaching (Technical/Tactical) Enhancement: Improving coaching-ability; to aid in the instruction/coaching and development of athletes with the aid of technology.
3. Sports Medicine (Rehabilitation/Injury Prevention): Using technology to reduce the likelihood of sporting injury, and aid in the rehabilitation of athletes.

You will be responsible for all existing and future developed code, technology development processes and manage the entire development lifecycle. You will be responsible for mapping client requirements into test driven development solutions as well as the design and architecture of systems. To begin with, wou will also be involved in the final development phase of our first product/project; PrecisionAMS, a system that has already garnered interest from some well-known football clubs.
You’ll also have the goal to be involved in the development of broad and in-depth knowledge base of software engineering across a range of technologies.
- Graduate in Computer Engineering (minimum 2:1)
- Evidence of previous work and projects.
- Programming: C, C++, Perl, Python, x86 assembly, Java, C#, Embedded Programming.
- You have an educational background in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
- Experience with real-time data feeds.
- Sense of humour and ability to banter.
- Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the company.
- Experience working with an Electronic Engineer.
- Need to understand that a robust MVP is a priority, but also care deeply about evolving that into the best possible user-experience in due course.
- A passion for sports.
What We offer:
Due to the nature and stage of our start up, compensation will be equity-based and then a salary once we acquire major financial backing.
This is essentially a CTO position, and thus requires more than just being a programmer; you will be at the core of the organisation, with input in major decisions and ideally you will stay with us after the development phase.
You will have the technical freedom to build something from the ground up, autonomy over your work and flexible working arrangements.
Great new working office, giving you access to a host of sporting facilities; from a state-of-the-art gym and studio to outdoor facilities (such as rowing).
At the heart of East London, we are currently based at the University of East London’s business centre, not far from the Olympic village. However we have currently negotiated the relocation to the University’s new state-of-the-art sports facility; Sportsdock (2nd floor). The training base for the US Olympic and Paralymic Team, the facility is brand new and gives access to a host of new training facilities. Location is also allows easy access to the North Circular (2 minutes away), DLR Line, access to City Airport (walkable distance), great view of the docks, access to Canary Wharf, and to be based at a vibrant and energetic university. We just need a required number of staff before we can begin.
Work will be remotely based, however as we get closer to launch, will be based at the new head office. Also, due to the nature of the startup, it is possible to take on the role whilst still working at another job. However as soon as we have gained funding and role becomes salary-based, position will be full-time.
