We enjoy working on DevOps because we are at the centre of IT. The skills and tools that we and you need or will learn whilst with us are very broad. We are passionate about automation and infrastructure-as-code. Because of these skills we are highly respected, and other teams are constantly seeking advice and even taking internships with us.

You are part of an operations team sharing and ensuring system engineer’s best practices.
You will use the AWS service portfolio in order to deal with scalability, high availability and monitoring strategies.
You always strive for automation, monitoring, logging and sharing your results with others following practices like ChatOps.
Assist Development Teams in designing, modelling and validating RDB and NoSQL solutions for their applications.
Research, evaluation and recommendation of RDB and NoSQL solutions and monitoring/management tools plus providing best use cases.
Automatize and keep maintained day-to-day operations: log rotation, backup strategies, load testing, monitoring.
Research, evaluate and recommend new database features/functionality
Be a part of 2nd level support

You have experience in setup, monitoring and day to day operations of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL/Key-Value storages (MongoDB, DynamoDB)

You love to work with Linux-based systems

You look forward to working with AWS services or come with pre-existing knowledge (RDS, CouchDB, Aurora)

You are familiar with configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef/terraform)

You feel at home in the shell and can script with languages like Bash/Python/Ruby/…

Nagios/Icinga/Grafana is in your monitoring portfolio

You already worked in an agile environment and are familiar with Scrum and/or Kanban

You are fluent in spoken and written English, German is not a must
