Overview
We are looking for a talented London based UI Designer/Web Designer contractor excited by a start-up environment who is going to dig in and create an experience that makes our web platform legendary in terms of design and usability

Responsibilities
You will be upgrading our current web platform to a responsive design which will work across different devices such as tablets and mobiles as well as desktop browsers based on Bootstrap framework. You will be responsible for the creation of high quality, world class Web content for desktop and mobile devices. You will employ your mastery of HTML and CSS to engineer front end components that will present information in new, innovative, and creative ways. Your work will require a focus on compatibility, accessibility, and internationalization.

Experience
Experience developing cross-browser compatible code based on web standards.
Knowledge of the latest design patterns and usability principles

Skills
Strong UI design skills.
Bootstrap framework
Responsive design
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to take initiative and direction, self-motivate

Compensation:
Depending on experience.

You should be able to demonstrate (i.e. provide portfolio links) to your recent apps/web pages which feature responsive layouts based on bootstrap, please include them in your email.

I’m looking for an experienced developer with good – Clojure, Java & a bit of Javascript.
It’s a 4 week project initially, so you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running.

You’ll be helping finish off the backend of our new multiplayer HTML5 poker game.
The codebase has been written from scratch for this project in Clojure with a Datomic DB and a bit of Java. No nasty legacy stuff.

You won’t need to write any front end Javascript/CSS but if you can it’s a bonus. The front end uses Javascript JQuery & ClojureScript.

It’s a small team so you’ll need to get your hands dirty right away but the work is genuinely interesting.

There is the possibility of permanent position with share options thereafter.

About us and the job

We are building a social learning platform called “MyImpact.com”. My Impact focuses on peer learning and supports learning between friends / colleagues that is already happening in real life. We start off with social skills.

We are an early stage startup with seed funding. We graduated from the Founder Institute (Silicon Valley Incubator), pre-validated our concept / distribution strategy and built a prototype.

You should love coding and lead our product development. You will be responsible for back- and fronted development; technology is of your choice. You will get support from our web designer and team.

• University degree in Computer Science

• Interface design expertise – no need to be a designer, but you need experience integrating pixel-perfects from our design team
