As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for scaling Leaderboarded for high-volume web based transactions.

You will be an accomplished well-rounded developer, with a mastery of object-oriented design with appropriate use of best practices, design patterns, and frameworks and a thorough understanding of the implication of software designs and implementation choices on application performance and maintainability.

This role is available as either Part Time / Full Time. I am looking for a person who will be able to take on a more senior role as the product and business develops.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain web-based and server-side components to enhance the features and reliability of the current application, as well as participate in the development of new features and integrations. 
• Design, develop and maintain an API (XML RPC, REST, JSON) to be used by clients  to create end products and solutions. 
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that old and incorrect code is removed from system and help with cleanup

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field preferred though not essential.
• At least 4 years of product grade, enterprise-class, server-side web application development experience.
• Proven track record designing and implementing web applications with highly optimized and scalable architectures.
• Startup experience desirable.
• Development lifecycle (agile) and team leadership experience desirable.
• Proven ability to deliver. Designing, developing and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time with minimal direction.
• Mobile experience desirable
• Experience working with MySQL and Big Data.
• Very strong ability to read and communicate requirements and solutions to and from internal team members and clients
• Javascript, JQuery, Less and XHTML assumed
• Must be able to work from either our London or Surrey office
